Jinpachi failed and Heihachi imprisoned him beneath the family temple, Hon-Maru. Jinpachi and Kazumi were both alarmed at this action, and Jinpachi sought to retake the corporation from his son. He began restyling the corporation into its present form as the Mishima Zaibatsu. When he was around thirty years old, Heihachi launched a coup and seized control of his father's corporation from him. He coveted his father's corporation and disagreed with the direction his father had taken it. Heihachi grew to become a formidable martial artist and shrewd businessman. Heihachi and Kazumi married and, when Heihachi was 26, they had a son named Kazuya Mishima. He trained his son Heihachi, and Heihachi's future wife, Kazumi Hachijo. Jinpachi became more pacifist after the war, and desired to distance himself from weapons manufacturing and focus on developing his martial arts style, Mishima Style Fighting Karate.
